The Complete Walk Shakespeare in Liverpool

37 films will be screened in over 30 Liverpool venues to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The Complete Walk project has been spearheaded by Shakespeare’s Globe, and Liverpool is the only UK city outside London announced to be taking part. The screenings will take place over the weekend of April 23-24.

Where there’s a Will – St George’s Day Liverpool 2016

A season of classic Shakespeare plays will take place at St George’s Hall Liverpool to mark the 400th Anniversary of the Bard’s death. Appropriately entitled, Where There’s A Will, the season features four of The Bard’s most popular plays which will be staged in the stunning Concert Room at the iconic venue. Where There’s A Will is being presented by Chalice Media Limited and starts with Macbeth (24 to 28 April). It will be followed by The Tempest (3 and 4 June); Romeo And Juliet (2 and 3 July); and Much Ado About Nothing (3 to 5 August). Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (26 February).

JELLYFISHMOON presents: SonicVision

  JELLYFISHMOON bring the acclaimed American Natural History Museum digitally animated film SonicVision to St George’s Quarter. Shown in full dome 360 degree projection, with a soundtrack scored by the Constellation Collective, the film consists of flying fractals and geometric shapes. For 26 minutes experience a journey that delves in to peoples’ consciousness and asks them questions about their relationships with sound, light, movement and the geometry seen all around. St George’s Quarter are proud to support this fantastic project and bring SonicVision to St George’s hall Plateau for May bank holiday weekend. This is the next step in immersive audio-visual entertainment. Supported using pubic funding by Arts Council England. A co-production between the National Theatre of Scotland and Live Theatre Adapted from Alan Warner‘s brilliant novel about six girls on the cusp of change, when love, lust, pregnancy and death all spiral out of control in a single day. Warner’s blisteringly funny dialogue ends in fireworks (literally). A musical play about losing your virginity and finding yourself.
